there must be something...it's so hard to concentrate when i look out the window, and know that i have to go out into this. oh well. at least i'm not running in the boston marathon.

it pleases me that i don't have to run in the boston marathon.

i read the first book, way back in 2000, and it changed my life. at the very least it gave me a recipe for pineapple cheese casserole and the knowledge that somewhere in the world, someone was marketing something called fat mama's knock you naked margaritas.

• don imus--mainly because no one talked about how janet jackson was a good person when she inadvertently flashed her tit on tv; and yet people are flocking to the support of a racist and sexist
• the weather--it's april, people. when i left vermont, i was promised spring! you know, sunshine, warm temperatures, flowers in bloom.

• that nix and i are still capable of staying out until almost one on a school night (that's not an indication of how long the play is, just of how much fun miss m herself is, and of how poor is the service at a theatre adjacent bar)
