i'm not strictly sure. perhaps just because my impression of jelly shoes is that they were dress up shoes for the "too young to wear high heels" set, while crocs are decidedly functional. i don't knock them, but there is something un-glamorous about wearing gardening shoes out in public.

now, you disagree on principle? because they are crocs, not jellies? or because you don't believe we could have another ridiculous footwear craze?

For myself, they look sort of like Dutch shoes as designed by Tonka.
