The 80's scared me. Both the warm and fuzzy slice and the "cool" slice of pop culture. Still have nightmares about being trampled by My Little Ponies to a slowed-down Bryan Adams song.

I can still remember the smell of Crepe Suzette! Better than the Lemon-Lime Twins, but nowhere near as good as Purple Pieman, whose scent I used to inhale addict-style while staring at cartoons.

i had blueberry muffin (which i now find pretty funny considering). my sister had apple dumpling who had a pet called apple duckling-it's twee, but it works.

My fourth-grade teacher subdued us (quite effectively) by means of scratch 'n sniff stickers. By the end of the year, we had whole albums full. My favorite was the root-beer one, which gradually got lots of white noise scratched into it. Then we go to fifth grade, and everyone turned into jerks and were too cool for the stickers, except me, who mourned them in secret.

loved the strawberry scgang...somehow my sister and i had a bunch of these. My apple dmpling doll (i think it was her) had a "tea tiny turtle" companion. Tea tiny was hard plastic. I dropped him from my backpack, and one of the dogs in the apt complex gnawed him to a pulp. Eventually another apple dumpling doll...but the tea tiny turtle that accompanied her was soft and squeezable plastic. then I think the companion was revised altogether. fickle apple dumpling. but maybe this wasn't apple dumpling at all. maybe it was another doll. - nu (who writes anony from work)

now that i think about it, my sister did have a turtle, so either they have changed ad's friend or the strawberry shortcake website has made up apple duckling. i still think that's pretty funny.

I like "Apple duckling" ...wish I had one (even now). Maybe my sister did. I'll ask her. As a complete aside: I am TERRIBLY bored here at work. terribly bored. terribly bored...
